LEGACY

I know I’ve been talking about it for the last couple of months but if you are a father of a boy between the ages of 8-15, I want to invite you to our 3rd Legacy event on my property in Maine.

The whole goal of the Legacy experience is to create a rite of passage of sorts and equip you, as your son’s father, with the tools, resources, and conversations he needs to thrive as a boy becoming a man.

It’s no secret that the world is increasingly dismissive of men and masculinity and it’s my goal (along with our cadre) to help inoculate and prepare your son for what this world has to offer.

I invite you to head to www.orderofman.com/legacy to watch a quick video and learn more about what this event entails and how it can be an integral component of ushering your son into manhood.

Again, head to  www.orderofman.com/legacy to learn more and lock in your spot.

Warrior is a term that gets thrown around a lot these days. Most men have the desire, to some degree to develop and hone their warrior spirit. And, despite the fact that many men have never considered themselves warriors or served in the military, it is possible and advantageous to approach your life in the very much the same way a warrior approaches his.

Today, I am joined by Marine Corps veteran and entrepreneur, Chris Albert to discuss exactly what it means to be a warrior. We discuss how to lead yourself when no one is telling you what to do, what it means to “slay dragons” and make yourself capable of doing so, improving your internal dialogue, and how to tap into the warrior archetype.

SHOW HIGHLIGHTS

  • Delivering veteran solutions
  • Learning online business
  • Teaching people how to be free
  • Falling into tyranny
  • Facing confrontation
  • Slaying dragons
  • Becoming passive
  • Letting yourself go
  • Deep family roots
  • Getting started
  • Absorb everything you can
  • The epidemic of suicide
  • Alienating yourself
  • Harnessing your skills

CHRIS ALBERT

My guest today is Chris Albert and, as I said before he is a Marine Corps veteran and founder of Warrior Soul.

After leaving the military, Chris went into bodybuilding eventually owning one of the most well-known gyms in the world – Metroflex Gym. In addition, he is a trained social scientist with expertise in conflict resolution and decision making.

He’s taken his skills and experience and applied them in helping business owners and other individuals tap into the warrior spirit and produce incredible results in their life.

LEGACY

Gents, allow me to hit the pause button very quickly and tell you about our first-ever Maine Legacy Event.

This experience will be held June 11-14th, 2020 on my property here in Maine and it’s a father/son event like no other. If you’re anything like me, ushering your son into manhood is one of your biggest concerns. It’s one of the few things that really keeps you up and night.

Over the course of 3 days, we’ve designed an experience to push, test, and inspire both you and your son to do and be more. We’ll be shooting archery, participating in physical challenges, competing in Jiu-Jitsu, and learning the frameworks for success in life with the 20 other father/son combos that will be joining you.

Back by popular demand, my favorite guest joins me again on the podcast.  And, in case you don’t know who that it, it’s my wife. Look, the reality is that all the guests that I have had on have offered some tremendous insight and value but my thought is that if you can’t get things right with your wife, nothing else really matters that much.

Today, we talk about the struggles we’ve had in our marriage, why she wants me to lead our family, what women look for in men, the “patriarchy,” kissing through the beard, getting your wife on board with your self-development journey, and a whole lot more.

SHOW HIGHLIGHT

  • Think before you speak
  • Leading the family
  • Fulfilling family roles
  • Keeping the other in-check
  • Internal dialogue
  • Taking stock
  • Letting your guard down
  • Working things out
  • Learning new tools
  • Being her advocate
  • Taking your last name
  • Explaining the Iron Council
  • What it means to be a woman
  • Being the protector
  • Maintaining a healthy balance
  • Aspects of a good woman
  • Advice for couples
  • How you should treat a woman

TRICIA MICHLER

As I mentioned before, my guest today is my wife, Tricia Michler. We’ve been together for 17 years now and married for 15. We’ve had our ups and downs and have gone through a lot together and, after our previous episodes together (and the positive response), I figured it was time to bring her back on again.

She’s my beautiful wife, mother to our four children, a stay-at-home mom/homemaker, and someone who adds a lot of love, laughter, and spontaneity to my life. Frankly, I’m not sure how I would do life without her in it.

LEGACY

Gents, we’ve talked a little about children in this episode and I hope you can see how important ours are to us. If you have children, I know you feel the same way about yours.

But more and more, it seems the world is stacked against our children – specifically our young men. And, a couple of years ago, I wanted to throw my hat in the ring and do something about that.

That is why we created the Legacy Experience – a father/son event being held June 11-14, 2020. The experience is designed to push you and your son physically, mentally, and emotionally and help forge and foster the bond between you and him. Essentially, we created this experience to help you as his father usher him into manhood.

He’s taken his experience as a professional football player and sales executive, coupled with lessons learned from working with Fortune 500 companies and NFL and NBA teams, and distilled them into practical tips and strategies we can use to lead more effectively.

I had him on the show as the 8th guest to ever join us and his growth over nearly five years has been incredible and a powerful testimony to the effectiveness of his leadership strategies.
