My guest today is Ethan Suplee. You may know him from his acting roles on Remember the Titans, American History X, and Without a Paddle. But if you saw him today, you likely wouldn’t recognize him. That’s because he’s transformed not only his physical appearance but every element of his life.

Today, we talk about his journey to lose over 250 pounds, what it’s like to be severely obese in Hollywood and how many people had a vested interest in him being unhealthy, why who you listen to is so crucial on your self-development journey, adding meaning to challenging self-work, and overcoming a sense of complete powerlessness.

  • Being seen as the “fat guy”
  • Avoiding the attention
  • Living an active lifestyle
  • Admitting powerlessness
  • Going to the extreme
  • Confronting your bad habits
  • Finding moderation

ETHAN SUPLEE

My guest today is none other than Hollywood Actor, husband, father, and host of the American Glutton Podcast, Ethan Suplee.

Many of you have seen Ethan in Remember the Titans, Butterfly Effect, American History X, Without a Paddle, and so many more movies but, more recently, he’s gained a lot of visibility and attention by embarking on his own health journey by losing over 250 pounds and, frankly, getting jacked.

I really enjoyed this podcast because Ethan is such a humble person and he’s taken his years and years of struggle and not only used it as fuel for his own life but fuel for helping others transform themselves primarily through his podcast, American Glutton.

Mar 23, 2021

Today I am joined by an incredible man who just so happens to be the youngest U.S Congressman. His name is Madison Cawthorn and he’s gained a ton of attention over the past several months for, first, his powerful speech at the Republican National Convention and, more recently, his floor speech on 2nd Amendment Rights.

Today, Congressman Cawthorn and I talk about how he views his disability (he is partially paralyzed from a crash he was in years ago) and his masculinity, what he feels is our civic duty to get involved in politics and important topics, the power of words and using them effectively to create change and hope, the danger of the fatherless home crisis we’re in, uncompromising values, and so much more…

  • Determining what’s worthy of attention
  • Getting involved in office
  • Connecting issues to daily life
  • Overcoming discouragement

  • Speaking to the American ethos

MADISON CAWTHORN

Gentlemen, my guest today is a man that likely needs no introduction for many of you. At 25, he is currently the youngest U.S. Congressman but, as we talk about in this conversation, he does not let that keep him from throwing himself into some of the most important (and polarizing) discussions in politics today.

What’s even more impressive is that in 2014, his life plans came to a halt as he found himself a survivor of a car accident that left him partially paralyzed. After scrapping his plans to attend the Naval Academy, he found his way into politics as a way to serve in spite of not being able to join the military.

Gentlemen, this was a very powerful conversation with a man who had a lot of reason to quit in life but has, instead, decided to make the most of his circumstances and become a force to be reckoned with.

IRON COUNCIL

By now, you’ve heard all about our exclusive brotherhood, the Iron Council. One thing that you may not know is that each and every month, we focus on a topic to better equip ourselves as men with the tools and resources we need to succeed and thrive.

And, for the month of April, we’re going to be talking all about being prepared. In the wake of Texas’ power outages, the COVID fallout, and any number of additional events we’re bound to face, it’s crucial that we, as men, get ourselves prepared for what life may throw our way.

If this is something that has been on your mind, join us inside the Iron Council as we all work to better equip and inoculate ourselves against tragic, difficult, and unfortunate life events.

You’ll also gain access to all of the resources available and the brotherhood of men who will help you get the most out of your life.

Gentlemen, there is so much negativity, hostility, and vitriol in the world today. It’s unfortunate because even in the most difficult of circumstances there is so much to be positive about and grateful for. And, as we look for and embrace those factors, life becomes so much more rewarding and fulfilling.

Today, I am joined by country music artist, Granger Smith (we also talk about his alter-ego, Earl Dibbles, Jr.) to talk gratitude, juggling all of our duties and responsibilities, and attaching the right (and empowering) meaning to events. We also talk about the tragic loss of Granger’s son and how he continues to lead his family through one of the most difficult situations imaginable – losing a child.

GRANGER SMITH

Gents, my guest today is an absolutely incredible man. His name is Granger Smith.

He is an extremely successful country music artist, host of the Granger Smith podcast, and co-creator of his alter-ego, Earl Dibbles, Jr., the spokesman for his clothing apparel company Yee Yee Apparel.

I’ve been following Granger for years now and I had always been impressed with his positivity and outlook on life and, after our conversation today, I am even more so. We talk about so much today. His positivity, energy, and excitement for life is infectious and it makes me want to be a better man myself. I think it will for you too.

IRON COUNCIL

Having men in your corner cannot be overstated. Too many men have decided to walk through life alone and, oftentimes, they’re left feeling frustrated and overwhelmed with all they have to deal with.

But banding with other men doesn’t make you weak or inferior. If anything, it gives you access to the tools and accountability needed to make you stronger. And, with over 800 men inside our exclusive brotherhood, The Iron Council, you are going to find the type of men you need to thrive inside the walls or your home, business, and in your community.

I know a lot of you have been sitting on the fence on the Iron Council so get off the fence and give it a try. Worst case scenario, you don’t find any value and you leave. But I think you’ll find that when you band with us, every facet of your life is going to improve and you’ll only be asking why you didn’t join us sooner.

He is a New York Times Bestselling Author and has personally been extremely influential in the work that we’re doing here with Order of Man and I could not be more grateful to him and proud to give you round two of our discussion.

THE ART OF IMPOSSIBLE

Gents, inside the Iron Council for the month of February, we’re talking about how to craft your day but for the month of March, we’ll be covering “The Art of Impossible” and uncover how you can turn your dreams, ideas, and ambitions into reality.

If only more of us, as men, learned more about the laws of power and the dynamics of human nature, we’d be able to lead others more effectively. Unfortunately, many men believe that even exploring these concepts is an immoral pursuit. And, although they can be used to hurt others, they can also be used to fulfill our responsibilities to protect, provide, and preside.

Today, I am joined by multiple New York Times Bestselling Author, Robert Greene to talk about the negative stigma that comes with power and human nature dynamics. We also cover embracing weirdness, what he refers to as “power games,” how life isn’t always a win-win, why so many people have incorporated whining as a tactic for power, and why manipulation isn’t inherently wrong.

SHOW HIGHLIGHTS

  • The “Crisis Generation”
  • Finding middle ground
  • Dealing with Woke Culture
  • Painful opportunities and lessons
  • Why parents have become so afraid
  • How resistance makes you tougher
  • Influencing people

  • The Manipulative Side of humans
  •  Getting what you want
  • Changing other opinions
  • Virtue signaling as a strategy
  • The human desire for power
  •  Gain at the expense of another
  • Becoming more enlightened
  • Asymmetric warfare
  • Operating outside a moral code

ROBERT GREENE

My guest today is the one and only Robert Greene. Needless to say, his writings and teaching have inspired much discussion and controversy about the laws of human nature and how to harness them effectively.

He is the author of many books including The 48 Laws of Power, The Art of Seduction, Mastery, and The Laws of Human Nature. And, for over 25 years, he’s been researching, studying, and sharing lessons about how people behave and why they do what they do.

This one was a very enlightening discussion and gave me some tremendous insight into not only how Robert’s mind works, but other humans as well.

IRON COUNCIL

Gents, obviously, we’ve been talking a lot about how humans behave and, along those same lines, I’ve found that one of the things we, as men, crave most is other men who are willing and able to walk shoulder to shoulder with us in life.

Of course, there is the camaraderie of brotherhood but the accountability that comes from surrounding yourself with successful men cannot be overstated. That’s why the Iron Council, our exclusive brotherhood, is so powerful.

Inside the Iron Council, you’ll unlock access to the network of men you can count on to push, teach, mentor, and band with you. And, you’ll also find the framework needed to thrive in a world that continues to grow more complex and competitive by the day.

If you’re ready to band with a solid group of men, join us inside the Iron Council at www.orderofman.com/ironcouncil.
